NODA Awards 2023 Presentation

At end the of our final performance of Potted Shakespeare we had a surprise appearance by Mike Smith, our NODA representative, to present our 2023 award winners with their certificates:

This included the NODA London District 2 Flame award, with the following citation:

“Beaufort Players set a fine example to the world of amateur theatre, and fully deserve to be recognised for their continued ability to raise the standard of excellence. The encouragement given to its members to expand their horizons is to be applauded. The membership contribute so much to the success of their productions — from original script writing, set design and physical construction to actual performance. Audiences are provided with both exciting and stimulating experiences through Beaufort’s very many varied performances.”

NODA District 2 Awards 2023

Congratulations to our members for winning the following NODA District 2 awards:

  1. The Sybil Conway Award for Best Female in a Play awarded in District 2 to Kate Martin for playing the role of Kath in The Kitchen Sink
  2. The Charles Sumner Award for the Best Male in a Play awarded in District 2 to Jonathan Simmons for playing the role of Roy Jenkins in Limehouse
  3. The Pat Redhead Award for Best Drama awarded in District 2 to our production of Limehouse, directed by Tom Parker

We’re also particularly proud to have won the NODA London Flame Award for “inspirational contribution to the pursuit of excellence in theatre and enhancement of the overall theatrical experience”.

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the London regional awards held on Sunday 18th June.
