We’re delighted announce the following NODA District 2 awards:
- Charles Sumner Award for the best male in a play Amina Muneer as Lucentio in Taming of the Shrew
- Sybil Conway Award for best female in a play Thomas Cobb as Katherina in Taming of the Shrew
- Pat Redhead award for Best Drama Taming of the Shrew
In addition, Taming of the Shrew has also been nominated for the Innovation Award and Shinfield Players Scenic Award. You can see that our gender-swapping Shakespeare certainly gave the judges something to think about.
District winners are automatically nominated for the regional awards, which will be announced at the NODA London AGM on 23rd–24th June. Fingers crossed!
